From Jim's chair
I miss Spurs already, and with the news we have signed Robertson and Senesi along with very strong links to van Hecke and Savinho, it is hard not to be filled with joy and optimism again. With nine Premier League teams having to juggle mid-week European football this season, I think Spurs will surprise everyone the most and end up a genuine contender for the top 4. Exciting times ahead!
Also, the deadline is Monday for the OhSoSpurs season predictor! If you’re bored waiting for the World Cup and want something to do, I highly recommend you take a look. You can predict who you think the Club Captain will be, where we’ll place in the table, and even how many managers we might have this season (hopefully just the one…).

A Bit of Waffle
Welcome to this week’s newsletter for OhSoSpurs! Now, you’d have to forgive me for 1) being late this week (sorry!) and 2) not having much to talk about. It’s the calm before the storm of the impending World Cup 2026. When you think about it, it’s exciting, right?
I mean, maybe not for those of you who reside outside of the USA. I’ve seen the complaints on X, how the scheduled games are so abnormal to you lot. Listen, if the Americans can survive the 6am Spurs kickoff against Newcastle United (when we lost 6-1) surely you can survive the later evening games… haha.
As for the OhSoSpurs crew, we have been working on some exciting things behind the scenes! Personally, I (the main writer and editor) have relocated for the summer for an internship which has been super cool. We’ve also partnered with an analyst who provides some really insightful takes on incoming and current players, and we’re planning new content for you guys which I’m super excited for you all to see! This summer is going to be awesome for all of you, especially for those of you who are part of the #OhSo33 crew. Wink wink.
We at OhSoSpurs couldn’t do any of this without you guys, so we’re thankful for your support. Here’s to hoping for an exciting World Cup summer and a very much needed reboot for the Spurs squad!
THE ROUND UP
Player Call Ups
Players called up to their national teams since we last wrote have been Micky van de Ven for Holland, Cristian Romero for Argentina, and Rodrigo Bentancur for Uruguay. Players have also flown to their respective training grounds for the summer, with Romero in Kansas City, for example (of all places).

A Little Introduction
This is a new section to accompany the podcast featuring Enya, our resident analyst! She’s been on a few pods with Jim (which you can find on our YouTube) and will be contributing to the newsletter for the foreseeable future! Please give her a warm welcome. You can find her on X @EnyaCollins.
Hi, my name is Enya. By day I'm a quantitative portfolio manager – I build predictive, data-driven models to help pick stocks – but I've taken those same skills into football analytics and scouting as a passionate hobby. I'm a former Canadian Premier League player myself, so I like to think I bring a bit more than just spreadsheets to the table when it comes to reading the game.
I grew up in Vancouver and I'm proudly Canadian! Both my parents are from Cork, Ireland, and my favourite cousin was proudly born in Tottenham – she made sure I knew exactly which club deserved my loyalty. Growing up it was the two of us painfully enduring a sea of Irish Manchester United fans at every family gathering, but I've been a Spurs supporter ever since I was 12 and I've never looked back!
A COACHES VIEW
JJ’s Tottenham World Cup Player to Watch
Kevin Danso (Austria)
Austria’s World Cup hopes will rest on a defence built around Kevin Danso. He has become a regular for his country, earning 31 senior caps and featuring heavily during Austria’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
In qualifying, he recorded two assists, completed over 91% of his passes, and helped provide the physical, aggressive defending that we have seen at Spurs.
If Austria make it far in North America, expect Danso to get plenty of minutes, to be very strong in the air, and dangerous from set pieces on both sides of the ball.
